Intel delivers a netbook app store
The app store bug bites Intel as they seek to become a one-stop shop for netbook users with their AppUp store.
Intel is already a huge player in the netbook space, supplying almost every CPU that's being used. So, it's no surprise that they want to make sure that they protect that position. The AppUp Center installs to your netbook and becomes a gateway into a world of apps to help you get more from your netbook.
It's all a bit new and shiny but developers who happen to be in Barcelona at the moment for the Mobile World Congress can visit Intel's booth to find out more. It's all in beta but it seems to be a great way to support developers and to make it easy for netbook owners to find programs that are specifically designed to work on the platform.
